All you need to know about PCR in molecular biology

As the name suggests molecular biology is the study of living things at molecules’ level which involves their formation and controlling them up. In this study, we understand living things by studying the parts that make the molecules. It is a special branch of biochemistry. In this, we study the chemistry of molecules that are specially connected to living things.

The most important thing in molecular biology is the nucleic acids which involve DNA and RNA, the proteins formed by genetic encoding in the molecules. Some other biomolecules, like carbohydrates and lipid profile, are also studied here. It concentrates on the life of a cell. You can study PCR and molecular biology fundamental principles easily on the internet.

Polymerase chain reaction or PCR is a technique of molecular biology that is widely used. It permits the analysis of any DNA or RNA sequence. It allows a specially targeted DNA sequence to be modified in already decided ways. This technique has the potential to make one DNA molecule to multiply into over one billion molecules in less than 2 hours.

This technique is so powerful and versatile that it can be used to introduce enzymes at the ends of DNA molecules or to mutate specific bases of DNA. It is also useful in the determination of a particular DNA fragment found in a cDNA library class.

Nowadays, PCR technique has been improved so that it can include many other variations, like reverse PCR also known as RT-PCR for enhancement of RNA, and another PCR which allows measuring the number of DNA or RNA molecules present in the given sample.
